Peninsula residents dig deep for families who lost their sons in tragic accident

More than $20,000 has been raised for the families of the three young men who were killed in a horror road crash at Bilpin on Sunday afternoon.

MORE than $20,000 has been raised for the families of the three young men who were killed in a horror road crash at Bilpin on Sunday afternoon.

MyCause tribute donation funds have been set up for 17-year-old Lachlan Burleigh, 21-year-old Luke Shanahan and 19-year-old Ben Sawyer.

Lachlan Burleigh’s donation page says: “As you may know, this world lost beautiful Lachlan Ryan Burleigh six weeks shy of his 18th birthday and graduating high school in three weeks.

“We would like to raise money for the Burleigh family at this time of incredible loss. This is a very practical way for people to help the family cover expenses and ease the pressure at this very difficult time.”

THREE NORTHERN BEACHES BOYS KILLED IN HORROR CRASH

An additional MyCause donation page was also created by friends of Luke Shanahan and Ben Sawyer. On the page, friends have written: “We’re trying to raise money for the Shanahan and Sawyer families through these hard times. If there is anything you can donate to try and ease the pressure and cover some of the expenses, everything donated is greatly appreciated.” and by searching the boys names.
