Accused schoolgirl flasher caught out by plain clothes police allegedly performing indecent acts in window of his unit

A NAKED Manly man allegedly committed acts of indecency in the window of his unit in plain sight of school girls on three occasions in the space of a week.

What he didn’t realise was that on the third occasion, plainclothes police officers investigating his behaviour were close at hand and ready to pounce.

Northern Beaches crime manager Inspector Craig Wonders said that at 8.45am on February 22, a schoolgirl at a bus stop near the corner of Eurobin Ave and Pittwater Rd heard a man call out to gain her attention.

He said that when the girl looked in the direction of the call, she allegedly saw a naked man standing at the window of a unit committing an act of indecency.

Insp Wonders said at 8.30am on February 26, he was seen by two school girls at the same bus stop and that he was again allegedly committing an act of indecency.

The third incident allegedly occurred about 8.30am on Sunday, when a girl near the bus stop allegedly saw the man standing naked at the window of his unit committing an act of indecency.

Insp Wonders said plainclothes detectives attached to Strike Force Navy were in the area in response to the earlier reports and immediately went to the man’s residence.

When the police knocked on the door, the man responded to their calls but did not open the door.

He said police forced their way into the man’s unit but the man had fled.

He was arrested at a nearby bus stop, taken to Manly police station for questioning and subsequently charged with three counts of committing an act of indecency.

Strike Force Navy was established recently in response to reports of men behaving indecently.
