CHEEKY Bachelorette contestant Davey Lloyd says he is struggling to find a girlfriend because of his fame.
And he has revealed that he thinks Sam Frost and Sasha’s love will last.
The carpenter, 26, who lives with his parents Pat and Rod in Narrabeen, said that although he did not regret going on the reality love hunt, it was scuppering his chances.
“I was seeing somebody but I’m not now,” he said, adding that the girl couldn’t deal with the constant attention he got, plus she lived “too far away”.
And he said while he no longer had to approach women, the chat-up lines they used weren’t very appealing.
“I get, ‘Will you accept this rose’,” he said, with laugh. “One girl just sat on me. It’s intense. I’m not used to that at all. I’m a chippie.”
Until Davey finds his match — who will ideally look like actress Jessica Alba — he showed the Manly Daily’s #beachlife the romantic meal he’d cook to impress,
He chose King Fish which he caught off Manly with his boss.
“I would have a bottle of red, and do spinach leaves, mashed potato and pumpkin,” he said.
Lloyd might not have found romance but he does have a double bromance with winner Sasha, as well as other contestant Dave.
He’s even thought about moving to Sasha’s home town in country NSW to work, and said things are going well for his pal and reality queen, Sam Frost.
“I’ve heard them on the phone and he says ‘I love you. I think they are strong enough,” he said.
And he might have been tagged a ladies man, but mum Pat said being on the show has changed her son for the better.
The travel agent said making friends with the older guys has been “good for him” and she said after his social media lashing for his cringe-worthy moments, he’s “more able to take criticism.”
“He can be a clown but he’s a good family person.” she said.
