A driving instructor has been charged with assault after allegedly choking and biting a student after a lesson in Sydney’s south descended into chaos.
Police allege that a 58-year-old from Northbridge had been instructing a 22-year-old student in Tempe on Saturday (August 29) when he became frustrated and decided to terminate the lesson.
When the student and instructor were negotiating payment, an alleged altercation occurred.
Police allege both the men punched each other before the instructor is alleged to have choked the student and bit his thumb.
It is then alleged he walked the student to a shopping centre to get cash out before bystanders called police.
The 58-year-old man will face Hornsby Local Court later this year.
