Mosman Junior Rugby Club hosts Try Rugby Day
Boys, girls and the whole family will be treated to a special event at the Try Rugby Day this weekend.
Mosman Junior Rugby Club is holding its annual Try Rugby Day on Sunday 10th February from 3-5pm at Rawson Oval, Mosman.
The event launches the start of the rugby season for MJRC with a family fun day where girls and boys can “try rugby” by participating in rugby-based skills games and competitions suitable for all age groups. There will also be entertainment for the family as well as BBQ, Taste of India, DJ, gelato and a pop-up gin cocktail bar run by The Buena.

MJRC committee members and head of coaching, Nick Bousie will be available on the day to answer questions, while anyone visiting the registration desk will go in the draw to win a $250 voucher for The Buena. Parents are encouraged to download their $100 Active Kids Rebate vouchers prior to registering.
New MJRC president Luke Hartman played with the Whales in the early 1980s and regards the skills, friendships and experiences of this time as fond childhood memories. He still catches up with his Under 8 teammates 35 years later.
“Mosman Junior Rugby Club is still the same today,” Hartman said. “It is all about creating a fun and safe environment for our boys and girls to develop rugby skills and create lifelong friendships. We are also excited to have Damian Fitzpatrick and Will Miller from the Waratahs present on the day to meet everyone. Damian played for MJRC himself and is a great example of (the) foundations our club can provide.”
With the introduction of a new girls competition, we are particularly encouraging girls aged 5 — 15 to come down and have some fun.
