Tristan Angus Piper in Port Macquarie court on gun, drug charges

Named: A 37-year-old appeared in a Port Macquarie court today after police allegedly found a gun, cash and drugs in a car. See what the outcome was.

A gun, cash and drugs were allegedly found in a car stopped by police on the Mid-North Coast on Wednesday afternoon.

About 2pm, police attached to the Mid-North Coast Police District stopped a vehicle on Beacon Close, Port Macquarie.

When they searched the vehicle they allegedly found a firearm, $3235 in cash and 0.3 grams of methylamphetamine.

Tristan Angus Piper, 37, was arrested at the scene before being taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.

He was charged with possessing an unauthorised pistol and possessing a prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to face Port Macquarie Local Court next Thursday.
