Police have released footage of a vehicle seen in the area of an alleged attempted armed robbery and shooting, which resulted in the death of a dog, on the Mid-North Coast.
Several people were sleeping in a home on Pappinbarra Rd, Lower Pappinbarra in the early hours of Sunday October 9 when they were woken by a gunshot.
When a woman went to investigate she was allegedly threatened by a masked man with a gun.
Pappinbarra is located within the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area, west of Wauchope.
As part of their ongoing investigations into the incident, police have released CCTV footage of a black hatchback seen driving in the nearby area a short time after the incident.
Police arrived at the rural property shortly after 6am and were told several people were asleep before being woken by the sound of a gunshot.
A woman was threatened by an unknown masked man, armed with a shotgun, who continued to threaten her before discharging a further round and fleeing the scene.
A dog was killed during the incident however the woman was not physically injured.
Local police conducted initial inquiries, before the matter was referred to the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad under Strike Force Gentian.
