There have been further delays in the case of the four co-accused in relation to an alleged shooting murder at Kendall on the state’s Mid-North Coast last year.

Emergency services were called to Batar Creek Road about 6.40pm on Wednesday, November 22, where they found a 43-year-old suffering gunshot wounds.

The alleged murder victim is named in court documents as Paul Davy.

He died before he could be taken to hospital, despite the efforts of paramedics and members of the public, who started CPR before authorities arrived.

Police allege a group of men were seen to drive off after the shooting.

Kendall is a small hinterland village southwest of Port Macquarie notoriously linked to the disappearance of William Tyrell in 2014. There is no suggestion the two cases are linked in any way.

Two men and two women have been charged in relation to the shooting with the case being described as complex in Port Macquarie Local Court and the four are yet to enter pleas.

Michael Nicholas Hatzigeorgiou from Coolongolook was the first to be arrested after a vehicle stop on the Pacific Highway at Nabiac about 4.10pm on the Saturday after the alleged shooting.

The 39-year-old was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, concealing a serious indictable offence and disqualified driving.

The next day, detectives arrested 37-year-old Luke Willcockson, along with Ashley Louise Shields, at a home in North Haven about 1.30pm.

Willcockson has been charged with murder and Shields, 27, with concealing a serious indictable offence.

Julia Ann Jeffrey, 53, was arrested on Murray St, Port Macquarie about 9.35am on the Monday and charged with hindering an investigation into a serious indictable offence and concealing a serious indictable offence.

Jeffrey and Shields are on bail in relation to their respective charges with the two men remaining in custody on remand.

The last time the women appeared in Port Macquarie Local Court on February 8 they copped a warning from Magistrate Georgina Darcy that they shouldn’t be sitting together given bail conditions stipulating they should have no contact with each other as the case progresses.

At the time the police prosecutor argued for more time to get documents together, indicating the case was complex.

“What does that actually mean – what does it get you?” Ms Darcy asked.

“I’m not marking it (the case) as complex”.

Ms Darcy ultimately adjourned the case to April 4 where it came back before visiting magistrate Pauline Wright.

Again it was argued the case was complex and needed more time.

Magistrate Pauline Wright agreed to adjourn the matters of the four co-accused to May 23.
