Gregory James Brazel pleads not guilty to domestic violence charges in Macksville court

A Mid-North Coast man has pleaded not guilty to six charges, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalking, over alleged incidents in 2018 and in 2022. Here’s the latest.

A Mid-North Coast man is fighting domestic violence allegations appearing before a magistrate to protest his innocence.

Gregory James Brazel is facing six charges, with his case mentioned before Macksville Local Court on Thursday, February 9.

The 51-year-old old from Macksville is charged with four counts of common assault (domestic violence related), one charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (domestic violence related) and one charge of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).

The alleged offending occurred in August 2018 and in November last year at Macksville.

When asked by Magistrate Mal Macpherson if he was still pleading not guilty to all charges he said:

“Very much so.”

The matter has been adjourned for hearing on October 26 with the court hearing that four witnesses will be called for the prosecution.
