A woman allegedly forced her way into a Kempsey home after bolting from a random breath testing (RBT) site and colliding with another car on Sunday night.
Police will allege a Mercedes was directed to stop at an RBT station in Lord St, East Kempsey, just before 8 o’clock.
The vehicle allegedly accelerated towards police before speeding off.
Following inquiries, the Mercedes was found abandoned at the intersection of Belgrave and Smith streets, after it crashed into a Ford Falcon, in the centre of town.
The Ford driver, a 42-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.
The alleged driver of the Mercedes – a 45-year-old woman – was located inside a nearby home.
Police will claim in court the woman forced her way inside the property.
She was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Hospital for mandatory testing and assessment.
On her release, she was charged with seven offences, including: never licensed person drive vehicle on road, not comply with direction given by police officer, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, proceed through red traffic light, not give particulars to another driver, enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, and breach of bail.
The Kempsey woman was refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Tuesday (October 3).
