Lisa told the Manly Daily Bert was riding on a spot where scooters are allowed, but the man was telling him he shouldn’t be riding there.

She said: “We took Bert and my friend Dave, who is here from the States, and my nanny down to Manly to go for a scoot down South Steyne and Fairy Bower.

“They were steaming ahead, then this guy randomly grabbed Bert and started shaking him.

“I ran and said ‘you can’t touch my child.’ He said ‘he shouldn’t be on his scooter.”

“He started shouting ‘you f****** stupid mother. He was right in my face.’

“My friend Dave got in between us.

“It was very bizarre. The fact it was so brazen and it was very odd. You are allowed to scoot there anyway.

“Bert is fine. I’m still shaken up.”

“He was grabbed by a 20-something man who started shaking him and trying to take him away. “Dave and I confronted him and he ran away.

“Now at police station making a statement. Bert totally nonplussed, Dave and I still shaking: “Please people, keep a vigilant eye on your little ones.”
