Spring Farm man charged with impersonating police
A Spring Farm man has been arrested by Camden police and charged with impersonating a police officer.
A Spring Farm man has been arrested by Camden police and charged with two counts of impersonating a police officer and one count of robbery
The 47 year old man was arrested yesterday afternoon, less than 24 hours after the incidents were alleged to have taken place.
Police had been investigating a number of incidents which allegedly took place in Spring Farm on Wednesday night.
About 9.30pm, a man in plain clothes had approached a house and allegedly indicated he was an off-duty police officer conducting a check of stolen goods in the area.
Less than an hour later a similar incident was reported to police, in which a young man was pulled over on Richardson Rd, Spring Farm by a man allegedly posing as an undercover police officer.
The young man was allegedly followed home and had a GoPro device stolen.

Camden Police Area Command crime manager Detective Chief Inspector Shane Woolbank said it was a pleasing outcome.
“It is pleasing that we have been able to identify the individual and have been able to return the property,” he said.
“We again remind the community, if they are approached by anyone in plain clothes indicating they are a police officer, to ask for their ID,” he said.
“If they do not have that, approach with caution.
The man is due to appear at Picton Local Court on May 15.
He has been granted conditional bail.
