Campbelltown Council has endorsed a planning proposal to build six towers at the site of the Brands on Sale factory outlet.

Pacific Planning want to build a 20-storey building, an eight-storey building and four 12-storey buildings on the Queen St site.

Councillors voted to endorse a modified proposal put forward by council planners which would reduce the height of the main tower to 15-storeys.

The proposal, worth more than $120 million, will now go through the NSW Government’s gateway planning process and be placed on public exhibition.

Pacific Planning’s Matthew Daniel told councillors the buildings would be a mix of apartments and commercial premises.

“We need to have a scheme that brings forward some employment, retail and importantly residential,” he said.
