Winter is coming and Campbelltown Council is promising this years Winterland Festival will be even better.
Campbelltown Mayor George Brticevic says the festival’s return after it’s inaugural year in 2018 was great news for the local community.
Professional ice skating company Stars on Ice and amusement ride firm Joylands will have two ice skating rinks and a larger program on offer for families at the event scheduled for the July school holidays.
“We had some fantastic feedback not only from the people of Campbelltown but also the wider Macarthur region,” Cr Brticevic said.
“Is there anything better than having an event like this locally where you can bring the whole family five or 10 minutes down the road.
“The ice skating is great but I also loved the variety of food available and the carnival atmosphere... a coffee and a doughnut goes really well in the middle of winter while the kids are enjoying the skating.”
Cr Brticevic said Campbelltown Council was focused on providing more entertainment for families in the region.
“We’re really looking to provide good quality entertainment and that will be enhanced when we have our new Billabong built,” he said.
