Oran Park man allegedly driving on meth with drugs, cash & cigarettes

A man who was allegedly high on ice has been accused of driving with a large amount of drugs and illegal tobacco in the back seat in Sydney’s southwest. Here’s what we know.

A man allegedly drove around Sydney’s southwest while high on methamphetamines, before police say they found cocaine, ice and viagra among other items in his car.

The 46-year-old man from Oran Park was driving a black Audi when he was stopped for RBT on Gregory Hills Drive, Gregory Hills over the Easter long weekend.

Police said that he tested positive for ice after providing an oral fluid sample, and upon searching him and his vehicle allegedly located 11 grams of Cocaine, 20 grams of Methylamphetamine (ice), 26 MDMA tablets, 0.5 grams of MDMA powder, and seven Viagra tablets, $1000 in cash, two mobile phones, and 80 packets of unopened cigarettes in original manufactures packaging – not plain packaging as required in Australia.

A search warrant was also conducted at the man’s business in Campbelltown, where police allege they seized a further 4.8 kilograms of loose leaf tobacco, 10,000 empty pill cartridges, 1138 packets of illegal tobacco, and 1.16 grams of cannabis.

The Oran Park man was taken to Narellan Police station and charged with four counts of drug supply more than an indictable quantity but less than commercial, possessing a prescribed restricted substance, and conveying tobacco products knowingly with intent to defraud revenue.

The 46-year-old appeared at Campbelltown local court and was refused bail until the end of May.
