A $40 million aged care facility has been planned for Denham Court next door to the existing Willowdale retirement village.
The 144-bed facility will be constructed by Bolton Clarke at 247 Jamboree Avenue in the Willowdale Estate.
Bolton Clarke development manager Steven Carter said they planned to open the facility in 2022.
“Bolton Clarke’s Willowdale development will be a state-of-the-art two-storey residential aged care community with 144 rooms,” he said.
“Amenities will include extensive landscaped gardens with accessible walking paths and covered outdoor areas to encourage activity and social engagement, a function room, consultation rooms, hairdresser and cafe.”
The development application has been lodged with Campbelltown Council.
Bolton Clarke operates 24 residential aged care facilities in NSW and Queensland.
