New details in an alleged home invasion have emerged after a man pleaded guilty to attacking a resident over a dispute on social media.

Matthew Bilotta fronted Picton Local Court via video link last week and pleaded guilty to common assault and doing an act intending to pervert the course of justice.

However, two sisters allegedly involved will fight the charges against them.

Grace Buttriss pleaded not guilty to aggravated break and enter to commit a serious indictable offence, namely intimidating the occupants.

Her sister Lara has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm relating to two people inside the home at the time. She also pleaded not guilty to the two charges levelled against her.

Their trial is expected to take at least five days and has been set for early 2023.

The victims of the alleged attack were Jamie Geelan and Jack Roberson, who had been housemates at home in Camden for about six months.

According to court documents, the pair knew the Buttriss sisters but did not know Matthew Bilotta.

On February 5, Geelan and Bilotta argued over social media, but it seemed resolved.

Court documents state later that day, Grace allegedly called Geelan and accused him of lying on the phone to Bilotta.

He denied this and accused her of trying to arrange a threesome with him and her sister to make Bilotta jealous.

Geelan allegedly believed Grace then told Bilotta that he threatened a family member.

Later that night, Geelan and Roberson were at home at Onslow Ave, Camden, when the trio arrived and allegedly banged on the door.

The court documents state that the Buttriss sisters were allegedly saying things like “you’re f----d now” before Grace allegedly opened the door and entered the home.

Grace allegedly said Geelan had hit her, and then Bilotta got involved by leaning over her, swinging at Geelan, and striking him in the face.

Geelan pulled him into the house and grabbed onto Bilotta in self-defence after being hit when Roberson came in and said, “you can’t f-----g hit him in the head. He has epilepsy.“

Roberson grabbed Bilotta and tried to defend his housemate before Bilotta kneed Geelan in the groin and punched him in the ribs.

Lara allegedly picked up a hammer and hit Roberson in the back of the head with the end of the hammer and then allegedly hit Geelan.

The sisters allegedly ran from home, as did Bilotta, before the two victims went to hospital.

Geelan sustained a two cm laceration to the back of his head on the right side, while Roberson had lacerations to his head and face.

Recordings extracted from a phone show Bilotta speaking to an unknown man after the incident, claiming the victims had made threats and he “bashed the f--k out of them”.

Bilotta asked the man to intimidate the victims into retracting their statements.

“Just try and intimidate them to get me out of the equation,” Bilotta said, according to court documents.

Bilotta will be sentenced at Campbelltown District Court in 2023.
