Man charged following shooting at Campbelltown Station
A man who was shot by police near Campbelltown Station yesterday has been today charged with three offences, including fare evasion.

A man who was shot by police near Campbelltown Station yesterday has today been charged with three offences, including fare evasion.
The 39 year old man had an altercation with officers from the Police Transport Command about 2.45pm yesterday and allegedly challenged the officers with a 30cm knife.
Police used a taser on the man but he continued to threaten the officers. He was then shot by police in the stomach.
He was taken to Liverpool Hospital under police guard and remains in a critical but stable condition.
He has been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention and travel or attempt to travel without a valid ticket.
The man was refused bail and the matter is expected to be heard at Liverpool Local Court tomorrow.
A critical incident investigation has been launched and will be subject to an independent review.
