A co-owner of three Narellan pharmacies is behind bars after he allegedly committed aggravated sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl.

Denham Court man Luigi “Louie” Sbirziola was arrested by the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad about 8.15am on May 16, following a vehicle stop on The Northern Rd, Harrington Park.

The 44 year old was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault deprive liberty, intentionally sexually touch child between ten and 16 years old and procure child for unlawful sexual activity.

An investigation was launched by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad in March after reports of a 14 year old girl being sexually assaulted by a man not known to her.

The pharmacist was refused bail by the police to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on May 17, where he was formally refused bail to appear at Picton Local Court on July 23.

He is yet to enter a plea on all charges.

It is understood he intends to apply for bail in the NSW Supreme Court with a hearing date expected to be scheduled on Monday.

Sbirziola is the co-owner of three Narellan Town Centre pharmacies including Priceline Pharmacy Narellan, Pharmacy 4 Less Narellan and Your Chemist Shop Narellan.
