Two men have been arrested and charged after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a 20 year old man after a drinking session went wrong at Mt Annan Hotel on Saturday night.
Police believe the trio had become acquainted across the night and had decided to continue to drinking at a home in Mt Annan.
When walking through Birriwa Reserve just after midnight, police allege the two men, a 39 year old from Mt Annan and 24 year old from Spring Farm, threw the victim to the ground and stole a “fair” amount of cash.
The victim, from Bringelly, returned to Mt Annan Hotel where staff contacted police and reported the incident.
The 20 year old was not seriously injured in the assault.
The two men have been charged with robbery in company and are due to appear at Picton Local on June 26.
