A brand new venue promising its customers a holiday-style retreat is set to open, bringing a slew of firsts to the Macarthur area including bottomless brunch and an exotic menu.

Dizy’s Cafe was originally located at Smeaton Grange since 2016 but earlier this year closed down, making the big move to The Hub at Gregory Hills to expand what they offer to their loyal patrons and gain a new client base in the process.

The humble cafe started off in a small location under a gym, providing healthy food and coffee, quickly expanding to a full breakfast and lunch menu after demand from customers.

Owner Zaid Alsulaibi told the Macarthur Chronicle the original venue limited the cafe’s opportunity for growth so he jumped at the chance for a new location in Gregory Hills.

The new venue sits a modest 82 people at a time – all of which is booked out for the cafe’s opening day on Friday.

Mr Alsulaibi said the fit-out is inspired by “ocean and beach vibes”, with furniture he hand-picked from multiple outlets.

He describes it as a “beach house-style shack inside”, with the inclusion of two handmade pillars “from an Indian palace”.

“The furniture is so unique, we have a tree inside … it’s just come up way better than expected because I’ve been so hands-on with every single piece of furniture and it’s made it so personal,” he said.

“It’s casual enough to be laid back but classy enough to come in groups and enjoy the experience.”

Mr Alsulaibi is most excited about the food on offer, with Sydney rock oysters available by the dozen, a nine-star marble rating wagyu strip loin and crab sliders.

“The wagyu strip is a $70 steak but I promise it’s worth every cent,” he said.

Dizy’s will also be the first venue offering soft-serve Acai, ensuring the delicious smoothie bowl is fresh and tasty.

While there’s promising main meals, Mr Alsulaibi said the biggest focus in on the share menu because he wants people to go in and have it “feel like a holiday”.

“We always ask ‘why is the food better on holiday?’ and we’re trying to replicate that,” Mr Alsulaibi said.

As part of the grand opening, the team is asking anyone who goes in to review the food will be rewarded with a free biodegradable keep-cup with the Dizy’s logo on it.

Mr Alsulaibi said promoting the venue would be the customer’s “good deed for the day”.

Dizy’s plans to cater to locals and professionals during the week open 7am-5pm Monday to Sunday, but is also going to extend its hours and be a licensed premises for people to enjoy over the weekend.

There will be three events over the weekends beginning with Downstairs at Dizy’s on Fridays, with a happy hour from 5pm-10pm.

On Fridays, there will be live music, special prices on food and drinks and share platters available for people to enjoy while kickstarting the weekend.

The cafe will host Pre-drinks at Dizy’s on Saturday, offering food and cocktails from 5pm-10pm.

Dizy’s will be open from noon to 5pm on Sunday offering bottomless brunch with live music for customers.

Mr Alsulaibi said Dizy’s is going to have a massive impact on the Macarthur area.

“A lot of people are talking about it and I just can’t wait to have the opening,” he said.

“The area needs it because we don’t have anything like it.”
