Developer says buyer interest in the region rising

The growth of the Macarthur region isn’t slowing down says one of the area’s biggest masterplanned communities, which has recorded a boost in sales in recent months.

The growth of the Macarthur region isn’t slowing down says one of the area’s biggest masterplanned communities, which has recorded a boost in sales in recent months.

Gledswood Hills’ The Hermitage estate, led by Sekisui House, has credited the recent federal election for a rise in sales in the past two months.

In May and June, there was a 55 per cent boost in sales compared to the months of March and April.

The developers also say inquiry rates have doubled in the first half of the year, compared to 2018.

Sekisui House sales and marketing manager Craig Barnes said infrastructure investment in the region was another factor in the rising consumer confidence.

“We have experienced an overall sales uplift, post the federal election for both vacant land and new homes within The Hermitage, which we’re attributing to favourable changes within the residential market environment,”

“In addition, the billions of dollars being invested into the local region on key infrastructure and community projects is a major draw card for the area.

“The current level of activity from state and federal governments, as well as private enterprise is incredibly high and house hunters can see this first hand.”

The masterplan for The Hermitage estate is approaching the halfway mark for sales after launching seven years ago.
