Narellan Town Centre has stood by its COVID-19 cleaning practices after a coronavirus-infected shopper sent shockwaves across the centre.
NSW Health revealed a confirmed case of COVID-19 visited the major shopping centre last Monday, with businesses such as Kmart, Target, Best and Less and the food court area possibly affected.
Narellan Town Centre centre manager Brad Page told the Chronicle that major cleaning had been taking place every night.
“The reality is we actually deep clean every night,” he said. “Every touched surface is cleaned every single night. We put additional services on last night (Monday) to ensure we covered everything.”
Mr Page confirmed four extra cleaners, working a combined total of 20 hours, were engaged on Monday night.
When asked about calls by the community for Narellan Town Centre to shut down indefinitely to reduce the risk of the virus spread, Mr Page said it was simply following government advice.
