The countdown is on for the region’s newest shopping precinct, with the European-inspired Emerald Hills Shopping Village to open its doors on February 27.

The $25 million precinct, delivered by Macarthur Developments, will feature an ALDI supermarket, Italian and Thai restaurants and range of specialty stores.

Macarthur Developments general manager Stephen McMahon said the shopping precinct was a major milestone for Emerald Hills estate.

“A key feature of our shopping village is the support we have received from local businesses looking to expand into Emerald Hills,” he said.

“Our restaurants, gymnasium and personal services all hail from the region and many businesses and business owners are based in the Camden area.”

The shopping precinct is a key feature of the Emerald Hills Master Plan, with a future primary school, sporting oval, child care centre and community hall to be located within walking distance.

Mr McMahon said a feature of the precinct was the alfresco dining area.

“Our restaurants will be anchored by an inviting undercover outdoor alfresco dining area looking out towards the Emerald Hills oval and parklands,” he said.

“Our architects inspiration for our alfresco dining area was the narrow laneways of European cities.”
