Elderslie may soon be home to the largest entertainment venue in the Camden area, with a multimillion-dollar function centre proposed.

To be named Elderslie House, the function centre would be able to host more than 700 people at events including concerts, weddings and cultural celebrations.

The proposal has been lodged by Bespoke Developments NSW, which is also responsible for development of The Milk Factory on the former Camden Vale Milk Depot site.

Bespoke Developments NSW development manager George Saaib said Elderslie House would attract visitors from all over Sydney.

“Our vision is for the multi-use function centre to service the local community as well as bring people to the Camden region,” he said.

“The building has been specifically designed to capture the beauty of the rural setting across Camden Valley Way and to be accommodating to several uses such as weddings, business functions, conferences, cultural celebrations, ceremonies, entertainment and much more.

“With both The Milk Factory and Elderslie House, we wanted to maintain the historic charm of the Camden region in our developments.”

An 80-room hotel, restaurant and function centre was previously proposed on the site by Nations Wealth Pty Ltd in December 2017, but was withdrawn five months later.

The new proposal, by Bespoke Holdings Pty Ltd, has boosted the size of the function centre and removed the hotel and restaurant.

The proposed development would include 200 carparking spaces.
