A man has been charged in relation to the death of a teenager at an out-of-control house party in Sydney’s southwest, becoming the ninth person to face court over the alleged incident.

Police allege Elimeleki Taumalolo had knowledge of the alleged murder of Alex Ioane last May after a party at a Chester Rd home in Ingleburn and did not inform police.

The 26-year-old from Gregory Hills was arrested on Monday and charged with conceal serious offence and accessory after the fact to an offence.

Police allege Alex Ioane, 18, was attacked by a group of males during a brawl outside the Ingleburn home.

Ioane had attended the party, advertised on Facebook as a ‘70th birthday’, with his girlfriend Lynn Lavea.

Police allege witnesses saw a man kick Ioane from behind, striking just under the back of the head, which saw the victim fall to the ground.

Ioane was found by emergency services on the road with serious injuries and taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.

Elimeleki Taumalolo is the older brother of Mateaki Jeff Taumalolo, 19, who was last week charged with the murder of Ioane, and Suliasi Levula Taumalolo, 21, who was charged with affray in relation to the fatal incident.

Elimeleki’s cousin Tafuna Taumalolo, and two minors, have also been charged with murder.

Three women, including Tafuna’s sister Lute Taumalolo, Mateaki’s girlfriend Marlee Lusio and a 15-year-old have been charged with concealing a serious offence.

All remain before the courts.

Elimeleki did not appear via video link at Campbelltown Local Court today, where his solicitor did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

His matter was adjourned to July 8.

Police continue to investigate.
