Teen girl has grabbed at Picton Botanical Gardens by unknown man

A teenage girl has been grabbed by an unknown man while jogging along a bike track in Picton. Police officers are searching for the man, believed to be aged in his early 40s.

A teenage girl jogging along Picton Botanic Gardens bike track has wrestled free from an unknown man who tried to grab her from behind.

The 15-year-old girl was running along the bike track, on Regreme Rd, about 6pm on Sunday when the man she had spotted sitting down earlier tried to grab her.

The girl broke free from the man, described as being in his early 40s, and ran home to her parents who called police.

The jogger suffered scratches and bruising on her wrist.

The man has been described as being of caucasian appearance, 2m tall with short, black curly hair. He is believed to have a tattoo on the back of his left hand.

He was last seen wearing dark track pants and a dark hooded jumper.
