Fire and Rescue crews battle grassfire near Macarthur Square

A grassfire has ignited in Campbelltown, near Macarthur Square, with Fire and Rescue NSW crews currently on the scene.

A grassfire in Campbelltown, near Macarthur Square, has been contained and extinguished by two Fire and Rescue NSW crews tasked to the blaze.

The grassfire was near Geary St, Campbelltown.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire, located near Geary St, about 2.30pm.

A tanker truck and pumper truck attended the scene.

A Fire and Rescue NSW spokeswoman told the Chronicle about 3.15pm the blaze was under control, with a power pole on the site not under threat.
