A man who threatened to kill his ex partner in a late night phone call has pleaded guilty to multiple charges in Liverpool Court today.
Peter Neil, 38, from Miller, pleaded guilty to charges including contravening an AVO, multiple charges of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, and possessing a prohibited drug.
He appeared in court via video link, and said little as his Legal Aid representative discussed court dates with the Magistrate.
On recordings, Neil said, “I will go on a f****** murder rampage, you will, youse will say that you know Peter Neil and they once got warned by him not to f*** with him, see how petrifying he is,” to his former partner.
In another call, Neil said, “I’m gonna come burn the house down, I’m gonna kill you and I’m gonna take the kids and that’s what will hurt you the most.”
Neil has repeatedly breached his AVO orders, and has an extensive criminal history.
He has convictions recorded for stealing, indecent assault of a victim under the age of 16, common assault, breaking and entering, larceny, shoplifting, and contravening domestic violence orders, among others.
Neil was not supposed to be contacting his ex partner in any way unless it was through a lawyer, when he made the calls threatening to kill her and burn her house down.
In other calls, Neil made reference to past instances of violence, and said, “Did I break your wrist and f***** nose.
“Did I warn you I should not be pushed.”
A sentencing report has been ordered, and he is due to face Liverpool Court to receive his sentence on May 24.
