GREEN VALLEY

Police are appealing for help to identify a man who may be able to assist with inquiries into a break and enter in Gove Cres, Green Valley.

About 2.40pm on Monday, May 20, two elderly residents were at home, unaware a stranger was also inside the house. It is alleged the intruder took a bag containing a purse.

The man was last seen walking to Firth Pl, Green Valley. Anyone with information should contact police.

LIVERPOOL

A man has been charged after police allegedly located more than 40g of the drug ice at a property on Congressional Dr in Liverpool.

Police executed a search warrant after receiving information from the community.

Officers also allegedly found more than 300g of cannabis, a taser and handcuffs. The resident, a 51-year-old man, was arrested.

He was charged with possess prohibited weapon, two counts of supply prohibited drug and cultivate prohibited plant.

LIVERPOOL

Police are appealing for information after a robbery at Westfield Liverpool on Monday, May 20.

About 8.20pm, a 16-year-old was on the top level carpark when he was approached by up to six males, four of whom were described as being of Middle Eastern appearance and aged 16-18.

Two others were described as being of African appearance and about the same age. The group demanded the victim hand over property including a cap.

One of the men of African appearance produced a small flick knife. The victim feared for his safety and did not resist the offenders.

LIVERPOOL

Police have urged community members selling items via online apps to take precautions after a man was robbed of his mobile phone and wallet.

About 7.30pm on Monday, May 20, a man agreed to meet a person he believed to be a potential buyer at Pioneer Park.

The victim had advertised a mobile phone for sale online. Upon meeting the person, the victim was approached by a second male who demanded money.

A struggle ensued when a third male came and assisted the first two. The victim was punched and kicked but did not sustain any major injury. His phone and wallet were stolen.

The three males were described as being Middle Eastern in appearance. Anyone with information should contact police.

GREEN VALLEY

A 39-year-old man has been charged after police allegedly found six cannabis plants in the backyard of a Green Valley address.

Officers executed a search warrant on Tuesday, May 21, and also allegedly found a large amount of cannabis leaves, equipment to cultivate cannabis, a baton and fireworks.

The man was charged with cultivate prohibited plant, supply cannabis, two counts of possess prohibited weapon and possess prohibited drug.

He was conditionally bailed to appear at Liverpool Local Court on June 20.

LIVERPOOL

Police are searching for a man following a robbery on Moore St about 4.08pm on Thursday, May 23.

Police said a man carrying a suitcase and paver smashed a display cabinet containing jewellery. He stole trays, which had rings, necklaces and bracelets.

The man was seen running from the store and getting into a Holden Captiva with registration BH94HF, which had been stolen from Moorebank shopping centre about 5.40am the same day.

He is described as having a large, chubby build and was wearing white gloves, black trackpants and a black hoodie.

LIVERPOOL

A woman has been charged after allegedly attacking a man with a samurai sword in Liverpool at the weekend.

Police said a 23-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were in a unit on Charles St on Saturday. The woman left the unit about 11.30pm and the man followed soon after.

The pair had a dispute outside the units and the man allegedly threw a brick at the woman, who produced a samurai sword. The man was struck in the right forearm and taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

The woman was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and refused bail.
