West Hoxton armed robbery: man with machete steals Nike shoes

Police are appealing for information after a man had his shoes stolen by a male armed with a machete in Sydney’s southwest.

Police are appealing for information after a man had his shoes stolen by a male armed with a machete in Sydney’s southwest.

About 10pm on Sunday, May 12, a man was walking near Swansea Pl in West Hoxton when he was approached by a man with a 40cm machete, who demanded his shoes.

The man took a pair of white-coloured Nike Air Max 270 shoes, which had a pink bubble on the back.

He was seen driving away in a white hatchback with red P-plates. Its front headlight and rear tail light were not working.

Police would like to speak to a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

He has been described as being of Pacific Islander in appearance and 175cm tall with a stocky build.

At the time, he was wearing a black cap, black Adidas scarf and black hoodie.
