Police have thrown out all charges against an alleged Comanchero associate accused of being a part of an organised criminal group which engaged in the supply of almost $800,000 worth of illegal drugs and firearm offences.

During a search of what police alleged was an almost empty Yagoona “safe house”, investigators claimed to have found a self-loading pistol which they say was used during a drive-by public place shooting in the same suburb about two weeks earlier.

Ismael Ratel, 26, was represented by high-profile lawyer Mostafa Daoudie on Monday, when the police prosecutor withdrew 22 drug and firearm related offences.

Court documents state Ratel and three other men allegedly formed an organised criminal group which engaged in drug supply and firearms offences in south west Sydney.

During a search of a home in Yagoona in April, 2021 police allegedly found the premises to be completely vacant with the electricity disconnected.

Investigators allegedly found 2.27kg of cocaine with a street value of $681,900, 253g of meth which is valued at $101,468, 5.27g of MDMA and 3.86g of heroin.

Four firearms, 615 rounds of ammunition and eight magazines were also allegedly seized during the search.

Ratel was arrested months later in Chester Hill.

Mr Daoudie told the court on Monday all charges against his client were to be withdrawn, which was ultimately confirmed by the police prosecutor.

He instead submitted an application for costs with Magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim adjourning the matter to April 15.
