A man has been taken to hospital after a workplace incident at a construction site in Sydney’s southwest.

A man has been rescued from scaffolding at a construction site after a workplace incident in Sydney’s southwest.

Emergency services were called to Soldiers Pde in Edmondson Park shortly before 1.30pm following reports a man had been injured by a hoist.

Firefighters from Horningsea Park and Liverpool worked alongside paramedics to free the man from scaffolding.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital for shoulder pain.

A SafeWork NSW spokesman said the agency was now investigating.
