An alleged coke dealer has faced court after he was charged with more than $275,000 worth of prohibited drugs - including more than half-a-kilo of coke - were seized from a home in Sydney’s west.
Concord West resident Daniel Cannon, 29, appeared in Burwood Local Court in custody where he was refused bail for allegedly obtaining $275,000 worth of prohibited drugs.
He has been charged with two counts possessing prohibited drugs, supplying prohibited drugs in a commercial and large commercial quantity, attempting to prescribe a restricted substance and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
His solicitor Raymond Zhai did not apply for a bail application on his client’s behalf.
Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad (RES) officers launched an investigation into the supply of cocaine across the western suburbs.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a Concord West residence where they seized 552.9g of cocaine, diazepam tablets, alprazolam tablets, 2.2g of methylamphetamine, 22.49kg of 1, 4 butanediol, 360g of suspected psylocibin, 7.28kg of benzocaine, 51g of barium sulphate, $19,310 in cash, and drug manufacturing equipment.
These will now undergo forensic examination.
The seized drugs have an estimated potential street value of more than $275,000.
Cannon is expected to return to the same court on August 23.
