Woman dead, three injured after four pedestrian collisions in one night
A woman has died, part of the M1 motorway is closed and three people are injured after four separate pedestrian and vehicle crashes in one night.

Four separate pedestrian collisions have left one dead and many others injured after a horror 12-hour period on Sydney’s roads.
A woman died after being hit by a bus in Sydney’s inner west about 8:30pm Thursday.
Emergency services were called to Gannon St, Tempe after reports a pedestrian was struck by a bus.
NSW Ambulance paramedics worked to save the woman but she could not be revived and died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The man driving the bus was not injured and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from the Inner West Police Area Command are investigating the incident and anyone with information or dashcam footage are being urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
In a separate incident, a man was hit by a truck on the M1 Motorway in Wollongong on Friday morning.
Calls came in to police just after midnight about a man walking in the northbound lanes of the motorway.
Local officers from the Dog Unit stopped by to speak to the 27 year-old, but the man then ran into traffic and was hit by a truck.
Police gave the man first aid before paramedics arrived and raced him to St George Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition with a suspected head injury and lower limb fractures
As of 8am on Friday, one of two lanes on the M1 northbound is closed and traffic is heavy, with queues back to Figtree.
NORTH WOLLONGONG: All northbound lanes of the Princes Motorway are closed near the University of Wollongong due to a truck and pedestrian crash. Avoid the area and use an alternate route.

Motorists are being told to avoid the area.
Investigators are looking into the circumstances of the incident and there will be an independent review.

Others injured in collisions overnight include another woman who was hit by a car on Hart Drive in Wentworthville at 8pm on Thursday.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was treated by paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital with a suspected head injury, where she remains in a critical condition.
An elderly man was also hit by a van on Edward St, Botany, half an hour earlier at 7:30pm.
The man received a minor cut to his head and bruising on his arms and legs, and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for further treatment in a stable condition.
