A senior Nomads bikie who bemoaned about his ADHD problems behind bars is now accused by police of drug-driving three days before he was arrested for allegedly hiding a Glock in his mum’s ute.

James Butt, from Kambah in the ACT, appeared via audiovisual link in the Burwood Local Court on Wednesday morning sporting a freshly shaved head, but without the complaints of needing medication for the condition or another of post traumatic stress disorder.

On his first appearance, he had been breathing heavily and involuntarily cringing as a result of his medical problems.

Butt was pulled up in Pennant Hills where he was arrested and taken into custody.

The 30-year-old, who spent his milestone birthday in custody last year, is facing a series of serious charges after the state’s bikie busting cops allegedly caught him with a Glock 19 pistol in Pennant Hills.

Strike Force Raptor detectives allegedly found three Nomads leather vests in the car owned by his mum before removing his tail light and locating the gun.

He has pleaded not guilty to those charges.

The leathers were allegedly located in the car by Raptor cops.

Police will allege three days earlier on November 11, Butt was caught behind the wheel of his Holden Commodore in Yass with cocaine and meth in his system to self medicate his serious health conditions.

Court documents state Butt allegedly told officers “I had coke two days ago” and pointed to his nose when asked how he had taken it.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Jenner told the court there was a delay in processing the material in his case due to issues with forensics.

While Butt was beamed live from Silverwater, both his lawyers were not present for the brief mention.

Canberra lawyer Peter Woodhouse and his agent solicitor from Sydney were unable to be located as Butt faced Magistrate Lisa Stapleton, who adjourned his matters to be heard in the same court later this year.

Butt was initially denied bail last year by another magistrate over fears that because of his links to bikie gangs he would be more likely to flee Australia.

He has yet to enter a plea to the drug drive charge.
