Mary Mehajer: Salim Mehajer’s sister cops lashing over driving record
A magistrate hasn’t held back in dishing out a few home truths to a former Miss Lebanon Australia winner, after she drove to the RMS to take the knowledge test while on a suspended licence and shoplifted in Woolies last year.

The glamorous sister of former disgraced Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer has copped a lashing from a magistrate over her poor driving record.
Among her offences last year is one incident where she was caught driving from the court having just been banned from the roads and another where she was caught shoplifting in the CBD.
Former Miss Lebanon Australia Mariam ‘Mary’ Mehajer, 21, fronted Burwood Local Court on Tuesday for the serve unleashed by Magistrate Daniel Reiss.
She was charged after detectives stopped her for speeding in western Sydney in a flash Alfa Romeo baring her brother’s initials last year.
She was pulled up in Berala three days before Christmas, not far from her Lidcombe home.
The number plates in question however, according to registration data, are registered to a Porsche Macan station wagon.
Mehajer tapped away on a laptop inside the courtroom while waiting for her matter to be heard.
The blonde beauty, the court was told, has a driving record with a number of offences, including her driving from court after she was suspended.
Her latest offence relates to her driving to the RMS to take the knowledge test with a suspended licence.
“On that day you were driving away from court and you had the audacity to get behind the wheel,” Magistrate Reiss said in reference to driving from the courthouse.
“On the next occasion, you had the audacity to drive to the RMS while suspended … I simply don’t know what you do not understand about (driving without a licence).”
The court also heard Mehajer was given an infringement notice for shoplifting last year, which is believed to have occurred at a Woolworths in the Sydney CBD.
Mehajer was convicted and handed a 12 month community corrections order, fined $500 and disqualified from driving for six months after initially pleading guilty in January.
