Bakehouse Quarter: Massive sporting facility, pool centre Club9 set to be built in North Strathfield entertainment precinct
A massive new indoor sports precinct, set to include a new pool centre, has been submitted in a plan to make the sport the next inductee into the 2032 Olympic games.

One of the inner west's most popular shopping precincts is about to see the addition of a brand-new sport center – with the hopes of propelling the sport into the Olympics.
Bakehouse Quarter in North Strathfield, formally known as Arnott’s Biscuit factory, is levelling up with the addition of a new pool room called Club9, which will be equipped with five banks of billiards tables, featuring eight 7-foot tables and 16 9-foot tables.
Club9 is also expected to host other recreational activities such as electronic darts, shuffleboard and chess while also providing viewing platforms for those who spectating.
According to a developer for the project, a key focus of the business is to support the national development of the sport by hosting international tournaments and seeking to raise the profile of the sport for inclusion in the 2032 Olympic Games.
To support this plan, the business intends to offer mentorship programs, school outreach activities inter-school competitions with a coaching team.
The development is set to cost around $154,740 and can fit around 300 patrons.
It will join 35 other businesses within the bakehouse and looks to rival many of its hospitality venues by applying for an on-premises liquor license to patrons using the sport facility.
Club9 will take over from a former office premises and will be trading till 11pm, with two nights a week till 2am with construction beginning in the coming months.
