A multimillion-dollar development – set to reshape an inner west suburb – comprising of sport fields, shopping precincts and hundreds of apartments is underway.
Marrickville’s Danias’ project, which will see about 880 units within the newly rezoned Victoria Road Precinct, has kicked off the transformation with a $315 million, 270 residential apartment complex that will span across 2300 square meters.
The project, Wicks Place, began construction in July, 2021 and includes one, two and three-bedroom apartments with terraces, green spaces and a private communal outdoor areas across five buildings ranging from six to 12 storeys in height.
The projected is spearheaded by construction giant TOGA Australia and joint venture partner, Danias Group.
TOGA managing director, Allan Vido, told the Inner West Courier the first stage of development would be the “renaissance of Victoria Rd”.
“TOGA is privileged to be able to contribute to the diverse fabric of Marrickville, our team is passionate about creating wonderful mixed-use precincts and making a positive impact on local communities,” he said.
“This is a significant development that will enhance the vibrancy of Marrickville and We look forward to residents moving into their apartments from March onwards.”
Recently, Harris Farm Markets also confirmed that it will be opening within the project, adding to other retailers due to be announced in the coming weeks.
“We were pleased to recently announce that Harris Farm Markets will be opening within the project, this will significantly add to the amenity of Wicks Place and the wider precinct,” Allan Vido said.
TOGA also marked its second construction on Victoria Rd in November last year with its ground breaking development MADE Marrickville, set to become Australia’s first four-storey industrial development.
