The search for a missing elderly man in the Illawarra has ended with a body being found.
About 8.40am Thursday, police were conducting patrols when they located the body of a man at Wollongong Beach near Harbour St and Bank St.
The discovery comes one week after a 71-year-old man was reported missing from Oran Park.
Police established a crime scene and conducted an investigation, with the death not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
