Elie Douna, Charbel Douna: Wives sell clothes after husbands charged
The insta-famous wives of two twins charged over an alleged $15 million fraud scheme are selling their designer clothes and shoes online for bargain-basement prices.

Two glamorous Instagram influencers have started selling designer goods online after their husbands were charged over an alleged $15 million construction fraud scheme.
Just weeks after Elie and Charbel Douna, directors of Illawarra-based construction company LuxLiving, were arrested in sweeping raids across the Illawarra, their Insta-famous wives started selling some of their luxury shoes, accessories and clothes.
Elie’s wife Emily, who boasts almost 100,000 followers on Instagram, and Charbel’s wife Sara, have listed Valentino shoes, Camilla coats and Prada sunglasses for sale on website Depop in recent days.
On Monday, Emily listed several pairs of Valentino shoes for sale. The shoes, which retail for $1400 were listed for $300, while this week she sold a pair of $1200 Christian Louboutin shoes for $350.
While Emily has used Depop several times in the past, before this week, she was last active on the platform more than two months ago.
Meantime, Sara has listed 16 items for sale on the site this week, including a Dolce and Gabbana outfit and a pair of Valentino flats. Neither Emily nor Sara have been charged or accused of any wrongdoing.
Police allege twins Elie and Charbel were using falsified documentation in an attempt to obtain a $14.7 million loan to construct properties in LuxLiving’s 92-home Avondale estate ‘Avoca Park’.
At the time of the arrests, Detective Chief Inspector Glen Broadhead said police would allege 10 contracts of sale for the estate were legitimate, while nine allegedly were not.
It will also be alleged they enlisted the help of their real estate agent mate Ben Feltham, of Right Choice Real Estate in Albion Park, who allegedly published false contracts of sale as part of the scheme.
Both Elie and Charbel were charged with 19 counts of publish etc false/misleading information to obtain advantage, dishonestly obtain financial advance by deception and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
Feltham was charged with nine counts of publish etc false/misleading information to obtain advantage and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The trio will appear before Port Kembla Local Court in April.
