Last season Natalie Tobin was part of the successful Sydney FC team which lifted the W-League trophy.
This season she wants to be actually playing in the season decider.
Tobin was diagnosed with glandular fever as finals approached last season, missing two final two round games, the semi-final and grand final.
It was a devastating blow for the young footballer who was in top form and starting for the Sky Blue each week before becoming sick.

“I want to go back-to-back with the championships but for me personally, my goal is to have an injury and illness free year and to contribute and start with the team,” she said.
“I’ve spent the off-season getting myself right. I went to America for a month on holiday for a break, got my uni up to date and I feel excited to play.
“I feel like I have got my drive back.”
Tobin said it is an “immense relief” to have finished her bachelor degree in occupation therapy.
But the 23-year-old Wahroonga midfielder remains time poor with two separate jobs and training and games to fit into her tight schedule.
“It is such a relief to have that university over and done with,’’ she said.
“I do one job at Ryde three days a week (in work health and safety), we do soccer five times a week and then I do another job (disability support worker) two days a week so I have got good at juggling.’’

Tobin started her career at Berowra, played for the Northern Tigers at Turramurra and then the North West Sydney Koalas at Ryde.
With Sydney FC since she was 18, Tobin’s long term goal is to make the Matildas squad with her short term goal to be on the field for Sydney FC come finals.
“I watched but couldn’t play last year and it was pretty upsetting,’' she said.
“I want to be part of it this time.’’
The Sydney FC women are on top of the W-League ladder with a perfect three-game start to the season.
The Sydney FC men lead the A-League with six wins from seven matches.
