Hornsby Hospital’s new $19.8 million multi-storey carpark is now open.
The carpark, which has been under construction since November, 2017, will provide patients with 520 car spaces across the six-storey development.
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital general manager Lee Gregory said the new carpark was an important piece of infrastructure for the hospital and the community.
“It will relieve parking pressure and congestion on the existing Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, as well as surrounding residential streets,” Mr Gregory said.
“It provides a secure location for patients, visitors and staff to park their vehicles close to the hospital and health services on campus.”
Parking across the site, and within the new carpark, will be free until April.
“The grace period is a way of thanking our patients, staff and the community for their patience and understanding during the construction phase,” Mr Gregory said.
