Boxer Kaye Scott tells us what she loves about living in Wahroonga.
When did you move to this suburb and why?
Two years ago. I moved to make the commute to work and my boxing training on the Central Coast easier but I love Wahroonga. It has really good coffee and great outdoor spaces.
What do you like most about living there?
It’s a great suburb because it’s small enough to be very community-minded but big enough to have access to everything you need, especially with Hornsby just around the corner.
What do you enjoy doing on the weekend?
I like going for a walk down to Wahroonga shops and grabbing a coffee with friends.
What is your favourite cafe/restaurant?
There’s so many good places but I have a soft spot for The Butcher’s Block.
Do you have a favourite park?
I love Wahroonga Park. The grounds are great, they’re really well maintained and there’s nice play areas for the kids.
What is your best memory from living in this area?
I have a couple of family memories at Wahroonga Park with my brother, playing with his dog and my little niece.
What do you wish you could change about your suburb?
Some of the potholes on my way to work!
