A young woman has been taken to hospital after being knocked unconscious by a horse in Arcadia.
A young woman has been taken to hospital after being knocked unconscious by a horse at Arcadia.
Paramedics were called to the incident on a semirural property on Halls Rd at 4.38pm on Wednesday, following reports a woman, 21, had possibly been knocked over by a horse and was unconscious.
The CareFlight rescue helicopter also responded and reported the woman was leading a horse on foot when the incident happened.
CareFlight said she remained unconscious for an estimated 10 minutes before regaining consciousness.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic treated the woman at the scene for head injuries before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and took her to Westmead Hospital by ambulance in a stable condition.
