A teenage boy from Blacktown and and a 20-year-old man from Acacia Gardens have been arrested over the assault and “serious stabbing” of three teenagers at a party in Northmead.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing of the three teens at a party in Sydney’s west, alleging a group of uninvited men attended a party at a home in Northmead on August 3 about 10.45pm.
”Police will allege the males assaulted and stabbed a 17-year-old boy in the back before assaulting and stabbing 19-year-old man in the shoulder and back,” a NSW Police spokesman said. “Another man, 19, came to his defence before the males allegedly slashed open his hand with the knife.
“All three teenagers were taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, with one requiring surgery and another suffering fractured ribs.”
Strike Force Imbara, special tactical officers and detectives from Parramatta Police Area Command arrested the 16-year-old boy and 20-year-old man at their homes before searching their homes.
The teenage boy and the man were taken to Blacktown police station where they were charged with three counts of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The spokesman said inquiries were continuing, with further arrests expected to be made over a number of related investigations.
Strike Force Imbara was established in July, formed by officers attached to South West Metropolitan Region and North West Metropolitan Region, to investigate anti-social and violent behaviour of local street-level criminal networks.
