Rouse Hill: Young man hit by bus near Windsor Rd, White Hart Dr intersection

Updated: A young man remains in a critical condition after he was hit by a bus in Sydney’s north west.

A man, 20, who was hit by a bus at a busy intersection in north west Sydney remains in a critical condition.

After the accident he was rushed to Westmead Hospital, where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

NSW Police said no charges have currently been laid against the bus driver.

Police said the matter remains under investigation.

A young man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after he was hit by a bus in Sydney’s north west.

The man was hit shortly after 12.15pm on June 1, at the intersection of Windsor Rd and White Hart Drive, Rouse Hill — right next to Rouse Hill Town Centre and Castlebrook Memorial Park.

Hills Police Area Command requested on Facebook for motorists to avoid the area while officers and paramedics attended to the man.

Three ambulances attended, as well as an ambulance helicopter with a critical care paramedic and doctor on board.

The young man was assessed on the scene and transported to Westmead Hospital with suspected head injuries.

Westmead Hospital later confirmed the young man was in a critical condition and had been placed in an induced coma.

No passengers were on board the bus when the accident occurred. The bus driver, who was also taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing, was not injured.
