Rain causes widespread flooding on Hills roads

Endless rain soaking Sydney for the past two days has left several roads flooded across The Hills.
Motorists were left scrambling to avoid streets in suburbs including Annangrove, Maraylya, Schofields and Shanes Park as floodwaters began to rise yesterday while Sydney was hot with three months worth of rain in a matter of hours.
Roads are closed in both directions at Mcclymonts Rd, Maraylya, Blue Gum Rd, Annangrove, as well as Grange Ave between Agrowan Rd and Rickmond Rd, Schofields, Stone Creek Rd between Sirius Pl and Stanley St, Shanes Park since late yesterday afternoon.
Roads and Maritime are advising motorists to avoid the area and use alternate roads.
