A Glenhaven man has appeared in court over allegations of child procurement of two children.
Anthony Borg, 49, fronted Parramatta Local Court on Friday morning after he was arrested and charged with using a phone service to procure a person under 16 for sexual activity and transmit, publish or promote child porn.
Police will allege Borg believed he was speaking with a 13-year-old girl and engaged in conversations about “sexually explicit acts he wished to perform on the child and sent sexually explicit material”.
“It will also be alleged the man believed he was speaking with a 35-year-old mother of a nine-year-old girl and engaged in conversations about sexually explicit acts he wished to perform on the woman and the child,” a NSW Police spokeswoman said.
Court documents show that police will allege the 49-year-old carried out the child procurement between June 25 and September 16 and “published child pornographic material”.
Strike Force Trawler arrested Borg at his Glenhaven home on September 17, before police seized a laptop and storage device during a search that was carried out on the home.
Borg was granted strict bail conditions and is due to reappear at Parramatta Court on January 24.
