Gilham Street, Castle Hill: Break and enter, police seek man and woman

Police have released images as part of an investigation into a terrifying home invasion, which saw a woman stabbed in the neck and a young man restrained by cable ties.

Police appeal for Castle Hill break and enter

A 55-year-old woman was stabbed in the neck and a man in his early twenties was restrained with cable ties during a terrifying break and enter in Sydney’s northwest last January.

On January 27 of last year, two people forced entry into a home on Gilham St, Castle Hill.

Police are now renewing their appeals for assistance as they attempt to track down the culprits.

They have released images and video footage of a man and woman who police officers believe can help the investigation.

The man — believed to be in his 20s — is of lean build with black curly hair. He is described as looking Middle Eastern or Mediterranean in appearance, about 180-185cm tall.

On the day of the break and enter, this man was wearing a green and blue hi-vis jacket, grey shorts, and a blue surgical mask.

The woman is described as being of caucasian appearance, aged in her 30s, with brown hair and neck tattoos.

She was wearing a black jumper and dark pants.

The man who was restrained with cable ties was taken to hospital following the incident in a critical condition. He has since been released.

Police were told the pair who committed this violent break and enter stole cash before fleeing the victims’ home.
